Libby's House
Libby started a new activity last week that she calls "Building a house". She pulls all the pillows off of the couch, her bed, and my bed, and makes herself and little nest. She sits in the middle and covers herself with more pillows, and that is her house. She does this a couple time a day, once in the morning and once in the evening (I put the pillows back in their correct places at naptime and bedtime). Last night she built her nest in the entryway to the hall that leads to my bedroom. I was trying to squeeze around the corner to get into the living room last night when I lost my balance and fell into the big pile of pillows. John and I laughed, but Libby started to cry. I thought she was upset that I had fallen, and I was trying to reassure her as I lay in the pile, looking at her upside-down from where I had fallen. She continued to cry, then said something like "Mama squished house!". She wasn't worried that I might have hurt myself, no, she was upset that I had squished her house. Guess I know where her priorities lay.
