Last night I went to the hotel's dinner to get a salad. Trying to eat healthy, I bypassed the bucket of ranch dressing and opted for the oil and vinegar, which where in their own bottles next to the ranch. I noticed the oil was not very thick, and the vinegar had a more fruity smell than bitter, but I brushed it off. I stirred up my salad a bit and began to eat.
The vinegar didn't deliver as much of a kick as I was expecting, and it tasted a little weird. As I got towards the end of my salad I remembered that last time we had the hotel's dinner, there had been two bottles of Zinfandel wine next to the beer tap. There had been a red and a white Zinfandel. They had been in the same kind of bottles as my oil and vinegar were in...
It took a few seconds of processing before it hit me - I had dressed my salad with wine.
Moral of the story - if you're going to accidentally imbibe, don't do it with salad - it tastes weird and will only give you a headache.

too funny! I know I would have gotten a buzz from wine salad dressing too...considering my body is naive to such things! Hope the "hangover" didn't last too long :)
