Well folks, today we hit the big 6. Hard to believe that we have been married for 6 years already. With all the moving mess that has been going on, I didn't even realize the day was coming up until last Wednesday. John didn't remember at all! A friend of ours sent a "happy anniversary" email to us yesterday, that is what reminded John. Since we haven't sold our house yet, money is still tight, so we celebrated by looking at apartments all morning, coming back and taking a family nap, then fighting over who got to read HP7 first. John went out and brought home the yummiest BBQ in town for dinner. The rolls were exceptionally buttery tonight. He then took Libby on a walk, giving me time to get a quarter of the way through the book. I reluctantly handed it over after Libby went to bed and he is now trying his hardest to catch up to me.
The other night the three of us went down to the pool for a while. Libby loves to be in the water, and approaches it with her usual fearlessness. We tossed her around a bit, with her laughing harder with each throw. John accidentally dunked her a few times. Didn't faze her one bit. She likes to put her face in the water (and drink the water, yuck!), and she also like to jump in from the side. She will only jump if she is holding your hand, but she doesn't pay much attention when she is walking along the side and fell in at one point. I was following along beside her in the water, so I was there to catch her. She loved it.
We are still struggling to feel at home in our hotel room. Hopefully the darn house will sell soon and we can really get settled. We found an apartment today that we really like. The floorplan s perfect, and the complex is very child-friendly. They also take lots of security measures on the property. since John will be traveling a lot, I like what they are doing to keep residents safe. Not that there is much crime in that part of town. Right around the corner is a new neighborhood of mansions. The houses must be at least 5,000 square feet. Amazing. Also, there is a Hungry Howie's right across from the complex. Hungry Howie's was my favorite pizza as a kid. They closed down when I was in middle school and I have missed it desperately. They have a signature butter-parmesean crust that is to die for. John likes the complex with no playgrounds because it has a punching bag in the gym and an indoor basketball court. Men.

good luck on the house hunt. i'm sending you "quick selling" vibes. ;)
as for HP7, i preordered and it came, but we've been so busy working at our new place (paint, repairs, all that good stuff) and all i've read is the first page!!!! i'm dying!!!!
We hit six years in June and you could be telling our story! Both Rob and I totally forgot until the day before and since he was working all weekend, I called him at work at 6:45 to tell him "Happy Anniversary." I think he did stop after work and pick me up some flowers. We ended up going to dinner the next week when we were on vacation. That worked out well because not only did we have free babysitters in my mom and dad, but they picked up the tab as their present to us!
I'm dying for an update from TX!!!! No pressure, but we miss you! :)
