Every once in a while, ya gotta toot your own horn, and I'm going to do that today. I am completely unpacked. I finished yesterday, 4 days after moving in. All boxes are unpacked, every item is put away, and even my garage is organized, AND we can still park our car in there. I just have to say it, I am Superwoman.
Now on to more humble topics ;)
Libby is LOVING the playground across the street. I can't even begin to tell you how nice it was to say "ok, let's put shoes on and go to the playground!" I didn't have to pull out the stroller, or make sure I had a supply of diapers, wipes, snacks, and sippy cups. We just walked across the street, and when we were done, we walked back. John is there with the girls now while I make dinner, and as he was walking out the door, he said "just yell when dinner is ready". Isn't that great? I can just poke my head out the door and holler when I need him to come home. Who needs cell phones when you can just holler?
Last night while making dinner I opened up the back doors and the girls played out in our very first backyard. They had so much fun digging in the dirt and running around. Of course the got filthy, but man, I just sat at the table and made some pico de gallo, looking out the windows every few minutes. Heaven, I tell ya. A mom could get used to this whole back yard deal!
I had an appointment at the Birth Center yesterday with Amie. So much better than Dr. InItForTheMoney. The girls ran around and were fawned on and I was treated with not just respect, but was hugged and welcomed back by everyone. Baby's heartbeat is nice and strong, and I'm feeling little flutters and buzzes every day now. My next appointment is June 1st, when I'll have my ultrasound and can then tell you (hopefully!) if we'll be getting a "Baby Brudder" or a "Baby Sitter".
Needless to say, we are very happy with our lot in life.
