A couple years ago when I started Facebook, my mom blamed my thrice-daily status updates for my dwindling blog posts. I vehemently denied that accusation. But now, two years later, I have moved from denial to admittance. Facebook has killed my blog. Well, Facebook, and my iphone, and being quadruply exhausted with this pregnancy. But Facebook held the knife while the other two merely cheered it on from the background. Now I say "Fie you, Facebook! Let blogging live!" We'll see how long that lasts :)
So far this pregnancy has been better in some ways and worse in many more. My 9-month fever is back this time, more stubborn and sick-feeling-making than last time. My nausea only lasted 10 weeks instead of the usual 5 months. I've lost 5 pounds. I already look like I'm 6 months pregnant. I told John I think I'm having triplets. He covered his ears and ran away singing "find a happy place" to himself when I said that. We'll know for sure when I have my ultrasound in May. As of now, we haven't even heard a heartbeat, but we should tomorrow. I'll make the midwife check for two. Just in case.
I have allergies for the first time this year. Darn you, Texas! I've tried every over-the-counter medication as well as a prescription and the only thing that makes a dent in them is good old fashioned Benadryl. It helps me sleep, too! John is even more miserable than I am. He's now considering major pharmaceuticals, which is rare. I've also been seeing a chiropractor since just before Christmas. My headcahes are now few and far between. One day I had a migraine so I went for an adjustment and within minutes was headache free. I hug my chiropractor on a weekly basis because I'm so happy to be headache-free for the first time in over a year.
On to the kids!
Libby: still loves: dinosaurs, dragons, snakes, riding horses, playing computer games, and doing worksheets.
Favorite colors: red, blue, and brown
Favorite tv show: The Wild Kratts on PBS
Favorite subject in school: Science, specifically marine biology
Funny things she says: "Let's kick it, dude!" and "chicken butt" (courtsey of the neighbor girl)
Jaina: Loves: bugs, dogs (from a distance), cats, digging in the dirt, and wearing "twirly skirts"
Favorite colors: pink and purple
Favorite movie: Enchanted
Favorite subject: reading, specifically "Milly-Molly-Mandy"
Funny things she says: "I have a headache in my leg. I need a Coke" and "tee-hee"
Malachi: Loves: playing in the water, just not in the bath or shower, running, swinging, climbing
Favorite lovey: panda and duck-duck
Favorite show: Go, Diego, Go!
Favorite subject: napping
Funny things he says: "aw, crap" and calling all animals except cats a "cow"
Pictures to come, because everyone knows looking at pictures of cute kids is more fun than reading the whining rants of a pregnant woman.
