Our Apartment

We will be moving into our apartment at the end of September. My sister-in-law wanted to see what the floorplan is like, but it is not available online. So, today I drew the floorplan for her to see. I am so proud of my work, I just had to share it!

It's a little small, so I will explain the color-coding. Blue marks all the closets. We have a storage closet, a pantry, and a linen closet in addition to clothes closets. Yellow marks the arches that separate the "solarium" from the living room. We chose the third floor because we get the solarium instead of the balcony. This essentially adds an extra 100 sq ft of living space. To the right of the solarium is the breakfast nook. This is where we will have all of our meals, as I hate having my dining table in the same room as my couch.

The washer and dryer (green) are in the entry hall, resulting in it being isolated from the rest of the place, which is a plus. There is a fireplace (red) in the living room and built in bookshelves (pink) by the master bedroom. The master bath has a garden tub (score!).

The kitchen is probably the biggest I have ever seen in an apartment, and is walled off from the living area, so if the kitchen is a disaster and the VT's drop by, no one will know :)

The other thing I like about this place is all the windows. Lots and lots of windows, including one over the kitchen sink. There is also lots of room to run around outside, which is why we chose this particular complex - a great apartment, lots of room to run and play, at a great price. 1315 square feet for $910. I can't wait to move in!

kristin!
That apartment looks awesome. I love the solarium--it looks like you'll have a lot of living space. You'll have to take pics when you move in!

I'm with Maren. The solarium sounds cool! Great job on the artwork. I feel like I've had the grand tour. I know you're sooooo ready to be settled in! Good luck.
