Small Victory

Yesterday as I was waiting for Libby to get napping, she started whining. I went into her room to return her to bed for the nth time, when "that smell" slapped me right in the face. Panicked, I scanned the room, sure there was a repeat of last month's debacle (an experience so traumatizing I couldn't even blog about it). No poo on the walls, none on the floor, I finally forced myself to look at Libby. Her diaper was indeed undone, but the waistband of her shorts was apparently too snug for her to be able to pull her diaper out. All contents were contained. Never have I given such a huge sigh of relief!

Today we bought some Pull-ups, hoping that Libby will be unable to remove them from her person. They are pulled on and off like underwear, but are absorbent like a diaper. Hopefully these will solve our current issues long enough for us to enjoy our trip to NC and get moved to Atlanta(still no word on that, though).

Oh yeah, Happy 4th of July!

Thank goodness for small miracles! :) I shudder to even imagine what went on in that room. It makes the green aloe vera gel that Ian spread all over the mini blinds, wall and toy box pale in comparison. Bless your heart. I think you handle those things beautifully.
