Last night, Jaina went to bed at 7 pm. So of course, she woke up at midnight, wide-awake and rarin' to go. 2 hours later, she went back to sleep, then woke up again at 6, was awake for an hour, then slept until 9. Once she and John woke up for good, we got ready for a morning at the park. As the girls were getting dressed, I smelled something coming through the open door. Bacon. Oh my gosh, did it make my mouth water! Too bad bacon is not on my diet.
We walked to the park, and made a detour through the Green Market, which is a little farmer's market held there each Saturday. At the Green Market, there was a lady dressed as a witch doing free face-painting. We stopped and Libby got two butterflies painted on her face, a purple one and a pink one, then Libby got to paint on the lady's hand. She handed Libby a mirror, and Libby looked and said "Oh, a baby!". Apparently she could see John and Jaina in the mirror and was surprised. It got a big laugh out of the people around. Slacker that I am, I did not take a picture, even though I thought of it about 50 times.
After the market, John took the girls to the playground while I did my workout. It was my first time doing it alone. And it was nice! Today my jogging interval was increased to 1 minute. It kicked my tail, but I did it. This was the end of my first week of training. Still no weight loss, but I am so sore, something sure is happening!
After the park we came home and watched conference online. With two little girls to entertain and feed and get to sleep, it was difficult to listen at moments, but easier than it would have been had we all gone to the church. I got to take a nap between sessions.
We wanted to make schnitzel for dinner, but the meat was still frozen, so that got postponed until tomorrow. John got dinner on his way to the Priesthood session. Then he got lost because the Stake Center's address is wrong on the website. But we got it straightened out. I have not had dinner yet and don't know what it will be. I've been wanting to make muesli for a few days, so I might buckle down and do that after I clean the kitchen.
Libby just biffed it climbing in the corner behind the rocker. We have to tell her over and over not to go back there. Hopefully tonight's bit tongue skinned chin got the message through to her.
