I Want To Be A Guy Fieri Groupie

Guy Fieri is my new Culinary Expert Obsession. Past Obsessions inclide Alton Brown and Rachael Ray. Neither of them can hold a candle to Guy Fieri.

Guy has a few restaurants out west and a couple shows on Food Network. But my favorite Fieri production is "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives". This is the show that started my Obsession, and the show that continues to feed it. In this show, Fieri drives around the country in vintage Hot Rods (minor Obsession feeder, I mean, who wouldn't want a chance to kick back in one of these babies?) searching out American Dining at it's best (major Obsession feeder, because it's, well, FOOD). In every episode he hits three different diners, drive-ins, or dives, and the owners show him all their secrets and feed him their specialties. And I have yet to watch an episode where my mouth just doesn't freakin' water every second. Because apparently, I love American food! Chili, burgers, mac n' cheese, waffles with fried chicken (oh be still, my heart!), biscuits with gravy, and the barbeque, oh the barbeque!

Guy is funny, he's engaging, and he seems like a geniunly nice person. But I want to be a Guy Fieri groupie so I can eat his leftovers.
