Libby Plays With The Big Guys
Libby was so not interested in the playground this morning. She spied a boy playing basketball at the "sport court" next to the playground and decided she wanted to do that. She climbed up the hill and John followed. After a few unsuccessful attempts to get her to come down (and one semi-successful try that included bribing her with a dog walking by), we gave in.

The boy graciously shared his ball, rolling and bouncing it across the court to Libby, who would then pick it up and throw it in the other direction. John and the boy were able to sneak in a few shots here and there, and John rescued Libby from being brained by the basketball at one point.
After a while, Libby decided she was done playing. She picked up the ball, walked down the sidewalk, and waved goodbye to the boy. John had to chase her down to get the ball back. We returned the ball, said goodbye, then finally made it to the playground. Libby had a good time on the slides, then we came home and are now resting and watching "Veggie Tales".
And here is a cute pic of John and Libby at the table. Kind of random, but it's my blog, so there!

John,
You have not changed one bit....You look the same...What is your secret?

Hooray for nice neighborhood kids! I love it when "new friends," as Thomas calls them, play with my kids.
Uh oh. The independent streak shows itself again. :) Good luck with that.
