More Words

After my last post, I thought to myself "4 words. That can't be right". And began listening for more. So lest you think my toddler can't speak, here they are:

The classic "uh-oh" used when she (or we) drops things, whether on accident or on purpose.

"Woo-hoo!" said when she goes down the slide. Any slide. The great big twisty one at the playground and the two-foot tall one in our living room merit the same amount of enthusiasm.

"mmm-hmm", her way of saying "yes".

"ba-ba" for bottle, a recent development, and cute that she says it, because we have never said "ba-ba" except when referring to sheep.

"Agee" (again) for when she wants another round of patty-cake, book reading, being tossed in the air, etc.

"Eddy" (ready) when she sees us put our shoes on, she runs to the door and smacks it, saying "eddy" over and over.

New this morning - I went in to get her after she woke up and said "you smell poopie, are you poopie?" She pulled up her shirt, looked at her belly and said "oh, yeah". Probably coincidence, but fun for me anyway :)

How cute!! I love kid-speak!!! MG has a similar slide thing thing only hers is "WEEEEEE". Hers works on the swing, the slide, riding toys and the like. So funny! My other favorite one of Merry Grace's is her version of sorry--it sounds like "Wah-ree" but she totatlly gets the inflection right. Libby is so adorable. Hearing these stories make me realize how much she's growing up!
