It's Really Not All That Bad

My friend Kristen left this comment on yesterday's post:

"Whenever you make a post, I'm refreshed that my life isn't quite as hectic as I thought it was. I wonder how you do it. :)"

And I thought, "it's really not that bad". Yeah, I get overwhelmed at times, and packing and driving cross country and moving in with just a week to do it and John having to be at work at 1 pm on the day we moved in was just plain nutty, but it was only one day. I look at Kristen's life with her 3 kids and one on the way and think "How does she do that? 4 kids? I would die!" Or my sister-in-law, whose husband put their house up on Craigslist two weeks ago and they sold it to the first people who looked at it, and now they have to move out by the end of September and she's in her third trimester! I look at all she has to deal with the next few weeks and think "I so have nothing to complain about!" Or my friend SueBee, whose husband is on a ship in the middle of nowhere and she doesn't ever get to see him. Now that's difficult.

It's like my SIL said the other week when we were comparing our crazy lives: (I am seriously paraphrasing because I have a horrible memory and don't remember her exact words, but it went something like this-) "You can keep your problems, I like mine just fine!"

That's exactly how I feel. I like my world, I like my problems. I wouldn't wish my problems on my worst enemy, but I sure wouldn't trade them for anyone else's! And then I look at my girls and I think "It's really not all that bad".
