Every day I log into this blog, click on "New Post", then sit and stare at the screen for a few minutes before giving up and closing my laptop. I'm not sure where the block came from, but I'm having a hard time getting rid of it. So today I'll be doing a little "free writing", which will hopefully loosen the block a bit.

Jaina is crawling in earnest now. Yesterday my friend brought her 9-month-old charge over to play. It was the first time Jaina was able to keep up with him. It was a lot of fun to watch them chase each other and try to eat each other's faces. I'm sad that we won't be seeing him anymore, as my friend is retiring from Nannydom to embrace Motherhood.

Friday we went to a nearby tree lot and picked out a gorgeous 9-ft monster of a tree. And it is so fat around the middle! We've never had such a big, beautiful tree in our home, and I just can't stop looking at it. Libby really got into decorating, and there are many 2-ornament clusters where she hung two on one branch. She has spent the last few days rearranging the ornaments that are within her reach. Jaina hasn't shown much interest in the tree, for which I am grateful. Hobbit, however, keeps drinking out of the tree stand, which, if tradition stands, will result in his vomiting all over the carpet until we get rid of the tree. Ahhh, tradition.
