Thanksgiving, Part Three...In Which I Play Sudoku Until My Eyes Fall Out Of My Head

Saturday it rained. And rained. And rained. Libby and her Grandpa were able to go for a walk in the morning before it really started coming down. While they were out, one of the neighbors drove by on her way to return some pjs for her granddaughter to the store. She saw Libby and pulled over and gave her the pjs instead of returning them. What a nice thing to do!

We did a little more shopping Saturday, and I was able to find PLAIN WHITE SHIRTS for the girls. Why is it so dang difficult to find this wardrobe staple? Why do all white shirts have to have glittery silver hearts or pink cats on them? So I was ecstatic about this find, and snatched up quite a few.

We spent most of the day eating pie and talking, and stayed up way past our bedtime. John had a nice long talk with his dad, and I had a great talk with my mother-in-law. The girls slept well and on Sunday morning we had an uneventful drive home.

It was a great weekend, a great time to spend watching Libby enjoy the attentions of her grandparents and vice versa. Jaina crawled for the first time, witnessed by all but John. We were thankful to have such a peaceful and warm visit.

Reading this makes me want to cry. I wonder why on earth we moved away from such great parents! But hopefully they'll find their way to Utah soon.
