At The Playground
Libby and I walked over to the playground today. Weather here in North Texas has been absolutely gorgeous lately. Fresh air is about the only thing that makes me feel good, so I have been trying to get out a little each day. The walk over is really nice, our complex has walking trails through the grass to get there. First we had to stop so Libby could talk to the guy sweeping his patio. She told him all about the plastic fish she was carrying. Pretty cute. Then a bird landed in the tree above us and started squawking, and Libby refused to pass under it. I plopped her in the stroller and on we went. We passed some of the maintenance staff and had to pause for Libby to wave and say "bye". We finally made it to the playground, and Libby immediately started to climb.
She got to the top of the tallest twisty slide, then decided she wasn' t ready for that one yet. She did toss her ball down, though.
She opted for the medium-height bumpy slide. She really liked that one!
In the middle of her climb, she would stop and look out the "window" and hand me things she picked up along the way.
I sat on the bouncy horse since there aren't any benches nearby. Libby saw me and wanted a ride also.
After a few times down the bumpy slide she braved the tall twisty slide for the first time and loved it. The bottoms of the slides were all wet and dirty, so by the time we left she was filthy! She had a great time, though, and dirt washes, so I didn't stress. I was wondering how to convince her that it was time to go when she got up on the sidewalk, turned to me, and said "bye" and started walking towards home. Well, OK! Halfway she wanted to stop and play in a huge mud puddle, so back in the stroller she went for the rest of the trip. Come play with us!
