At The "Mama's" House

Cute things Libby does at Grandma and Grandpa's house:

Libby calls Grandma and Grandpa both "Mama".

She climbs up in Grandpa's recliner and says "doo, fee, dump!" and flops down on her bum.

She sneaks into the bathroom and climbs up on the counter so she can brush her teeth.

She likes to read with Grandma and Grandpa and really enjoys when Grandma sings to her.

She sneaks into the computer room and tries to play on the computer.

She follows Grandpa around with a little wooden race track and sets it down wherever he is so they can play with the cars.

Grandma got out the little kitchen toys and Libby began pretending by pouring drinks and saying "mmm, good".  After hearing me slurp the drink she poured me, she now slurps hers as well.  Today she brought me plates and a spoon and showed me how to eat her pretend food.  She's never played with things like this before.  Cute how she figured it out on her own.

I got Libby a Mr. Potato Head for the trip.  She really enjoys playing with it and makes a new creation each time.  Today she had both arms on one side with the mustache under one arm.  Potato armpit hair.  Yum.  another time she had the teeth on top of the head, one arm coming out of the eye socket, one arm coming out of the mouth, the eyes where the nose goes, both ears on side of of the head, and the nose on the other side.  Joyce says she's a little Picasso.  Maybe we can sell her creations.

Yesterday and today at nap time she was having trouble going to sleep on her own.  So I went in and sat on my bed and she crawled over from hers and snuggled with me.  Both times she fell asleep within five minutes.  She never wants to snuggle at home.

We are having such a nice time here.  The mountains are gorgeous, and I love waking up to the birds singing outside my window.  I never realized how much I missed that in Texas.  Libby went for a nice walk with Grandpa today and somehow he was able to keep up with her (I sure can't!).  I've run errands with him twice, leaving Libby at home with Grandma and she loves it.  She probably doesn't even know I am gone.  All we need now is her Daddy.  Can't wait for him to join us on Thursday!
