Autism

Of all the illnesses and disabilities that could affect my children, Autism scares me the most. Maybe because it comes on so slowly and stealthly, maybe because your wonderful outgoing toddler suddenly becomes silent and uncommunicative, maybe because there is no cure, maybe because on the outside, your child looks "normal" and people can't understand why they are acting the way they are. 1 out of every 150 children will be diagnosed with Autism. On the west coast it's 1 in 60. And no one knows why. There's not really anything I can do, but I can let you know about this: The band Five For Fighting will donate $0.40 to the foundation Autism Speaks every time this video is viewed.
