The Saturday before Christmas we drove around and looked at lights. This house had some cool decorations, including a stuffed-animal ferris-wheel and Christmas Carols piped through speakers. Too fun!
Libby tore into her gifts with reckless abandon.
John got "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure", which was a great surprise.

The Loot:
Funny story I forgot to tell: A few days before Christmas we were driving around town, returning library books, and trying to figure out what to do with ourselves. We were looking around at all the trees literally dripping with mistletoe. I saw lots of mistletoe in NC, but it usually grew high up where it couldn't be reached without a ladder, which was still a dangerous thing to do. Here, the trees are so full of it you can just walk up and pick it. I kept trying to get John to stop, but he wouldn't, saying "I don't want to take someone's mistletoe". I tried to convince him that "these trees are owned by the City of Allen, and it doesn't look like they are going to do anything with it, so pull over!" He finally did, I jumped out of the car with my swiss army knife, and cut myself a sprig of mistletoe. How cool is that? Over the next few days we would surprise each other dangling the mistletoe to get a kiss. (eewww, kissing!)
More pics of our day at the museum and New Year's Eve coming up!
