Come On!

I finally got my computer back after a week and a half of repairs, and it doesn't work! The problem we sent it in for (it doesn't recieve power when plugged in), the same problem we have sent it in for twice before - the last time just 45 days ago - is still present! Argh! Apparently we have a funky dc port that shorts out our power pack. So why have they replaced our hard drive 3 times, but we still have the same dc port?

John called Circuit City and calmly (which is why he called and not me, I would have yelled and cried) explained our disappointment, the obvious fact that the repairs being done aren't fixing anything, and the fact that I need constant internet access in order to monitor my incoming jobs for Seeking Sitters and am losing money during the repair periods. Sooo, they agreed to replace the whole shebang. Finally! They are supposed to call me in the next few days and tell me what laptop they want to replace it with, and if we find it an acceptable replacement, they will send it on.

If no one asks for our old laptop in 30 days, then it is our to keep/throw away. Since we can buy new power packs periodically, we may be able to keep it going for some time before it explodes...
