And I thought the bean bag chair was such a good idea...

Nine AM and already my day is shot to heck. Jaina didn't sleep well last night, which means I didn't sleep well, either. I was awake with her from 4-6, then was able to catch a little nap from 6-7, when Libby woke up. I got Libby out of her room, got her some breakfast, and turned on a movie and got back in bed, hoping to get a little more sleep. But then Jaina woke up and wanted to be fed NOW. While I was nursing her, Libby came into my room to tell me she was poopie. I told her I would change her as soon as I was done feeding Jaina. Since Jaina takes FOREVER to eat, it was a while before I got around to Libby. And when I did, oh man.

The biggest poop in the world, and it squished out of the diaper and all over Libby's brand-new bean bag chair (white with pink, purple, and green polka-dots, $15 at Target. Way cute). No problem, I thought, I'm about to do a load of laundry anyway. I'll just take off the chair cover and throw it in the wash. But wait, the geniuses who designed the chair didn't put the 500,000 teeny-tiny styrofoam balls in a liner. So I had to dump them all out into a trash bag. Which means half of them got dumped on my living room floor.

After an hour I got most of the balls into a huge trash bag (that will henceforth be stuffed into the bean-bag cover to become the liner-that-should-have-been) and the rest in the garbage can, and the cover in the wash. Then I had to attend Jaina's diaper. It wasn't too bad, but just as I pulled the soiled diaper out from under her bum, and before I got the clean one down, out came just a little more. All over her white blanket. Nice. Anyway, everyone is now clean and fed and relatively happy (Libby is a bit ticked that her elephant doesn't fit in her Little People barn), and I am going to enjoy some graham crackers and milk. Cause when your kids are this cute, it's hard to let a little poop ruin your day. That doesn't mean I couldn't use a little chocolate, though.

Sounds like a day in the life of a mom. Good job keeping a good attitude.
