I'm the shortest one in my family, clocking in at 5 feet, 7 1/2 inches. I never even made it to 5'8". Pititful. The next shortest member of my family is 5'10", and the tallest is well over 6 feet tall. So I'm the runt. And it looks like that won't be changing. My niece, Audrey, is expected to be 5'8" (her parents are both way past 6 feet tall, how does that happen?). I told John that Audrey and I can sit together in the short corner. Sad thing is, if she makes it to 5'8", I'll still be the shortest.

I'm a shorty, too. At 5'2", I'm well below my brothers, all of whom are of average height (around 5'10" or 5'11")and even shorter than my mom who is about 5'6". The funny thing is that based on my 2 year height, I should have been 5'8" easily. And I was either the tallest or one of the tallest girls in my class until the sixth grade. After that, everyone else grew and I never did. I was done. By 12 years old, I'd maxed out. So I definitely feel your pain. :)
Every time one of my three younger children get measured at the doctor's office someone says, "their dad must be really tall". Nope they are just genetic surprises. Dad and Mom are short, children tall. Except Alex, he is average.
You don't know me, but I wandered through your blog when I was "blog-hopping"...And thanks for the smile! You are a very witty writer :) And it sounds like you are enjoying mommy-hood, so thanks for the good example! And if it makes you feel tall, I am 5'4" on a "good" day ;D I don't mind being short. Have a happy summer!
