This morning I tried to do some yoga. Not too successful, since I ended up in upward-facing dog with Libby sitting on my back. So I gave up on yoga and flipped through my OnDemand Fitness selections, settling on "Cardio DANCE!" Now, those of you who know me know I that I possess no dancing skills whatsoever. Basically, it was a disaster and I dropped out after two minutes of "Wait, you're going too fast! How do you DO that?!" I sat on the couch and thought, "there has got to be something I can do to exercise inside". And then it hit me - I have a stereo, I have music, and I have a two-year-old who thinks my dancing moves rock. Thus was born my new workout routine: "Dance Like A Dork and Still Lose Weight!"
You should have seen what I broke out with during "Love Shack". Truely inspirational. "The End Of The World (As We Know It)" was a little difficult - too fast to do anything but run around the couch in circles scaring the cat. Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone" was a ton of fun to dance to. At times I was laughing so hard I had to stop dancing. It was the most fun I've had working out ever in my entire life. I did it for 30 minutes and have no idea how many calories I burned, but I had a blast! So tomorrow, put in your loudest, fastest, most insane music, grab your kids, and DAAAANCE!!!! I'll be doing it, too, you can count on that.

We like to dance at our house too. Lately we've been using some old hits from the 50s and 60s that we've pulled from youtube. It's so funny to watch the kids dance - each one has their own dance style. Caleb lately has taken to doing a breakdance/gymnastics/karate style while Camille is more graceful and employs some ballet-type steps and Chloe just bops to music any way she feels like dancing. It's so fun to watch! Enjoy!
I don't know if you have facebook... but Melanie Goode found me on there and I thought I'd pass it along to you that you way you can say hey to her too! I don't have an email for her or anything, just my facebook account is how we've communicated so far
I wonder if those moves will help start/move labor along....
"Dance like a dork and still loose weight" ... that is brilliant. Miss you!
