If I Knew It Would Turn Out Bad, Why Did I Do It?

Because in a burst of "I need it now" I decided it was better to risk a bad haircut at Great Clips than to wait a week and go to a professional. Jeff, my former stylist (whom I love and miss like crazy) would have a hissy fit if he found out. Do I regret my decisions? Yes and no. The cut really didn't turn out that bad. The girl had no clue what I was talking about when I went in with my verbal instructions, given by a hairstylist on the web. I asked for swoop bangs and an a-line razored cut in the back. She tried to give me a bob. I corrected her, telling her maybe five times "No, it needs to be shorter". And shorter it got. A little too short in places, including a patch right in the back that is a half-inch shorter than the rest, but John says it's not noticeable. I think it will look a lot better as it grows out.

Oh, but the best part? SHE CUT ME! WITH HER SCISSORS! ON MY EYEBROW! AND I BLED! Really, can you believe it? I told her I wasn't going to give my usual tip because she cut me. AND SHE LOOKED SURPRISED! Hello?! If you draw blood, YOU DON'T GET A TIP!

Anyway, it's not exactly the Jon & Kate Plus 8 'do that I was looking for, but it's a lot better than Jaina getting her fingers wrapped around my hair and not letting go 15 times a day.

What do you think? Please, be honest. Remember, this is for posterity. (And excuse the I-took-this-picture-at-six-AM-and-am-all-sleepy-pale look.)

I like the layers- and I have had the same sort of experience at Great clips...twice-- This last time I finally got out the scissors myself and fixed it...I think I am just going to cut it myself from now on...well trim it anyway :)

I love it! Its a classic Great Clips cut and story. I lost half an eye brow because the girl was talking on the phone with an electric razor in her hand. I didn't pay for the hair cut.
