Sleep Wars: A New Hope

So far, having Jaina and Libby share a room has been a huge success. Afternoon naps are still difficult to work out, but night-time is great.

John was worried that the girls would keep each other awake. My response to that was "Who cares, as long as I can get some sleep?!" But so far, his worries have been for naught. When Jaina wakes up at night, she does not disturb Libby. John also wanted to try a later bedtime for Libby. For the last few months she has been waking up at 5:30 am and usually not going back to sleep. So we pushed her bedtime to 9 pm and she now sleeps until 7am. Smart man.

Last night Jaina only woke up once. Once people! This is great! She then woke up at 6:30, and after feeding her I plopped her back in her crib so I could get some more sleep. Apparently, she went back to sleep and didn't wake up until 8. All I have to say is "Wow!" I went to bed last night at 9, fed Jaina at 1 and 6:30, then got up for good at 8. I'd say things are going good :)

Tomorrow John will work from home so I can focus on packing for our weekend at his parent's house. I'm hoping for snow...
