Summer Trip, Part 4. Blessing and Homecoming

The day before we left North Carolina, we were able to have Jaina's Blessing at one of our old wards. John's parents and one of his sisters stayed behind, so his dad and brother-in-law were able to participate in the blessing along with his brother, my dad, and my brother-in-law. It was a special day and I noticed many similarities between Libby's and Jaina's blessings. It was heartwarming to hear that both girls will be loved and supported by not only their parents and siblings, but also by their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The next day, Monday, we flew home. I had to leave a bunch of books behind, and I'm hoping Mom and Dad will bring them to me in December. Oddly enough, having John along didn't make things any easier. Libby was tired and threw up before we even took off, and Jaina fussed quite a bit. I'm just happy that he was there to help. We had to take a shuttle from the airport to home, and it took forever. But we finally did make it home, just in time to throw everything in boxes so we could leave for Atlanta the following Saturday.

We are so happy we were able to make this trip to NC. We got to see each member of both of our families during those three weeks, and that has never happened before. We are hoping it happens again soon!
