Libby seemed to be doing well, then began fevers and coughing again on Saturday. She started her antibiotic yesterday afternoon. She had a fever all day and night, but this morning seems to have kicked it.
We thought John was in the clear, especially since he has recently recovered from last month's bout with Bronchitis (remember the steroid shot in the butt?). We were grateful he was healthy, and on Friday found out he would be travelling to Atlanta this week for work. Then all of a sudden last night he got very tired, very achy, and very feverish very quickly. He maintained a fever (102 I think) all night and woke up this morning with spots on his chest and back. Uh-oh. I thought it looked like Chicken Pox (I've had them 3 times myself) and he called Dr. Chartrand. Turns out it's not Chicken Pox, but it could be Pertussis (he also is beginning a cough) or Rubella. Basically, a bacterial infection that causes a rash. So John got yet another steroid shot in the butt (poor guy!) and another scrip for antibiotics. He was given the go-ahead to continue his travel plans, and made his way to work. I asked John if his company softball team would allow him to play with all these steroids in his system. I guess what they don't know won't hurt them...
So here we are, recovering snot-heads, with my hubby leaving us in the morning for Atlanta. Can't say I'm jealous, but I am going to miss him. He'll be back Thursday night, though. Anyone want to come for a sleep-over? Come on, it's just love germs, you know you want 'em.

Libby enjoys some chocolate therapy with me. Notice discarded Tootsie Roll wrappers all over the blanket. I hogged the cinnamon hard candies :)
