Techno Girl

Our computer gave up the ghost last Friday. The little silver part of the cord that plugs into the the back of the computer separated from the cord. The battery died when the computer didn't shut down like it was supposed to. Ah, well, it had to happen sometime.

Today dawned cloudy and dreary, but brought a little sunshine in the form of a free replacement computer from Circuit City. It's basically the same as our old one, but with everything updated. More memory, a DVD burner, bluetooth connectivity (not sure what we'll use it for, but hey, it sounds cool :), etc. The most important thing - it actually works.

Libby woke up many times last night with coughing fits. When i checked on her she seemed feverish, but I never took her temp until this morning. She has maintained a low-grade fever since she woke up. She's not eating much, but she is active. She hasn't coughed since waking up this morning, but her nose has been running like a faucet. Just when I thought we had finally gotten clear of illness...

I'm thinking about taking her in to see Dr. Chartrand on Wed if this hasn't cleared up. John ended up needing antibiotics for bronchitis when he had a 6-week cold, so maybe Libby is in the same boat. We'll see.
