Today's The Day!

According to the midwife, anyway.

Contractions started 3 minutes apart last night at 9 pm, pretty painful.

11 pm - contractions 2 minutes apart, a bit stronger.

12 am - got in the tub, contractions got even stronger

1:30 am - midwife arrived, no change from my appt yesterday (bummer!)

3:30 am - contractions even stronger, baby pressing against a nerve that shoots white-hot pain down my inner thigh to my knee with each contraction. Midwife checked me again, still no change. Midwife told me to go to bed and try to sleep, call her when things pick up, or when I feel I need her to be here. Says she thinks it will take a while tog et going, but that once I do it will be really fast. She's confident the baby will be born today.

5 am, 5:30 am, 6 am, 6:30 am, 9 am - Wake up to pee and/or because contractions wake me. Hot herbal pack on thigh calms down the nerve.

9:45 am - we are going WALKING!!
