Win Much?

Holy Cow! I won another contest! Mama Knows Breast was doing a Mother's Day Giveaway of lots of cool stuff and I sent her the reason why I deserve a Graco Activity Center. Apparently she agreed with me, because she picked me as the winner! Now if only I could win a recliner...

Even though I'm on a win-cool-stuff roll, I'm still losing the labor lottery. Yesterday I tried castor oil again. I wasn't optimistic - last time I tried it it had no effect whatsoever. Yesterday it just about killed me. The nausea started right away, and 4 hours later the real stuff hit. Man, that was rough. It wore off after 3 hours and about 15 trips to the bathroom. FYI: be prepared for a bit of a fright if you eat artificially flavored and colored banana popsicles after taking castor oil...

Today is my 41 week mark, and obviously the castor oil did nothing but make me miserable. We went for a walk this morning and got so lost! Half of me was afraid my water would break and we wouldn't know how to get home. The other half of me wanted my water to break and who cares if I don't know how to get home? It's a beautiful day, I'll just squat behind that bush! Desperation has set in, can you tell?

My cold gets a little better every day. I still have a bit of a cough, but it doesn't bother me at night any more and isn't constant during the day. Libby's fever seems to have been a one-day thing. Since it was still hanging around yesterday afternoon I kept her home from church today. She's currently engrossed in one of her three favorite movies - Finding Nemo. Jungle Book and Winnie-The-Pooh tie with Nemo for favorite movie. It's cute to watch her watch these movies.

I have another appointment tomorrow. The plan was to strip my membranes. John and I have decided to ask if we can go ahead and have my water broken. I'll only ask if I've reached 4 cm. Mom arrives Tuesday afternoon. We need to get her boudoir in order tonight just in case whatever we do tomorrow finally tips my hand and the baby gives up and makes it's way here. Ideally, I will go into labor on my own before the appointment.

I'll get on late in the morning tomorrow and let you know what's going on.
