At the Pumpkin Farm

About a month ago we went to the pumpkin farm with some people from church. I was real slack about getting the pictures developed, so sorry about the delay.

Libby really liked the HUGE Longhorn cattle, but wasn't too impressed with the goats. It wasn't until we were on he way out that she figured out how to hold the feed cup so the goats could eat. She really, really liked the hayride, and after it was over spent about 40 minutes toting around different pumpkins before I could get her out of the "field". It was a fun day, but I don't think we will go back there. It is a money-making thing, with very cramped quarters for the animals, and the poor things are surrounded by screaming kids throwing things at them and poking them with sticks. The lack of care for the animals really upset me. They also don't grow their own pumpkins, I saw the dump site for the shipping boxes during the hay ride. I'm hoping we can find the real deal next year that takes better care of it's land and animals. But Libby had fun, which was kind of the whole point, huh?
