Whew!

Libby just had her first full-blown, all-out, screaming at the top her lungs and banging her heels against the floor tantrum. For 15 straight minutes. Because John wouldn't let her empty his end table drawer. Holy cow! Isn't it a little early for the terrible twos?

She finally calmed down and is standing at the aquarium saying "hi" to Fish, our Crown-Tail Betta. He is the only fish in our 12-gallon tank and he is taking advantage of every inch of it. I have never had an exploratory Betta before. Usually they stake out a little 4x4x4 inch space and never leave it. This guy hides in the castle and burrows under the sea shells covering the bottom. Sadly, I couldn't come up with anything more creative than "Fish" for his name. We have had a Norman, a Nighthawk, an Ugga, and one with a Vietnamese name that I can't remember (and many more!) and all I can come up with for this guy is "Fish"? Pathetic.

Oh yeah, we are all feeling better, except for the lack of sleep hangover I have from my late-night sitting job last night. Thank goodness!

Thanks for all of your sympathy and well-wishes :)

She just had her first tantrum! Count yourself lucky! My kids always started these at 11-12 months old. I remember the first time Cedar decided to scream...

We were in the library in Iowa, and it was time to go... look out! I had a screaming toddler on my hands, and discovered how incredibly strong a baby can be when they do not want to get into a stroller. I remember being so baffled as to what to do.
