Sooo, the last paragraph of yesterday's blog never happened. The living room never got picked up, the tree is still decorated, and we are still sleeping on our saggy baggy mattress. Oh, and the bathroom didn't get cleaned. We were just feeling too sorry for ourselves to do anything else. We did, however, team up and make a lunch of bacon, eggs, and homefries. I guess you can see where our priorities lie.
Remember the big plan we had for moving Libby out of her crib? Well, that got shot full of holes yesterday when she climbed up the rail next to the wall and sat on it until John got her down. Geez. So tomorrow we really will move the double bed to our room, and we've been shopping for toddler beds on Craigslist. John thinks we should go ahead and buy one, because it's either now or six months from now, and if we see one we like (which we have), that is half what it is at the store (which it is), and comes with a mattress, basically for free (which it does), then why not go ahead and do it now (which we will)? Hopefully we can pick it up before John goes back to work and get Libby as settled as an 18-month old can be outside a crib. I'm not excited about this development, because I think it will result in Libby refusing to nap. And I need her to nap. Badly.
Last night I ate some spaghetti for dinner, and I think the cheese was a bit "off". It tasted funny, but it was already mixed in with the last of my pasta. So I ate it. Bad idea. John said he hoped I felt good enough to eat all the good food tomorrow. I said "I hope I feel good enough to make all that good food". I'll probably be fine, food-related illnesses tend to blow over quickly. One more bug to delay the inevitable baby weight gain...
