Target Baby?

All day today the contractions stayed about 10 minutes apart. I took a short nap, and when I woke up they were suddenly 3-5 minutes apart and a little more painful. I recorded them for close to an hour, then made a visit to the bathroom and when I was done they went back to 10 minutes.

As soon as John got home, we went grocery shopping, because we have NO FOOD in our house. While there the contractions jumped to 2-3 minutes apart and HURT! John kept wanting to call the midwife, but I told him we needed to finish shopping, let me get home and in the tub, and they would calm down again. I was able to convince him, but not until after I swore to him that he would not be delivering our baby in Target's dairy aisle.

We grabbed some Chick-fil-a on the way home, because after 90 minutes of grocery shopping, who wants to actually make dinner? I ate mine in the car and got in the tub as soon as we got home. Sure enough, the contractions slowed down. In fact, they stopped completely. Not a one in the last 40 minutes.

Now, as ready as I am to get this baby out, I would like a decent night's sleep first. And a day to get meals cooked and in the freezer would be nice. My kitchen is clean and ready for the onslaught of freezer cooking about to be done. Bring on the pots and pans!

WOW!! I can almost feel your pain. Nobody wants a long labor. You are doing great. Keep up the good work. Hope you get some rest.

Either that baby wanted to get out and shop or was begging you to leave the store. :) Hope you get your cooking done!!
