You're Not Thinking Hard Enough

Contractions started up again today. They began with one an hour, and around 3 this afternoon started coming more frequently. I called the midwife on call, who today happens to be the director of the Birth Center. She told me that if the measures I am taking don't work, and if contractions start to be 10 minutes apart, that they will go ahead and let me deliver. I asked her if that would mean I go the hospital, and she said that no, they will deliver me at the Birth Center if I go into labor this week. If I make it past 37 weeks, then they can deliver me at home. So with that weight off my chest, I gave my body the go ahead to do it's thing. And it's thing seems to be prepping me for labor.

Since 3 pm, I have had periods where I will have 3-5 in a row that are 10 minutes apart, then 30 or 40 minutes will go by without one. We went ahead and got our bags packed, just in case something happens in the middle of the night. I need to call my friend and make sure it's OK for us to drop Libby off should we need to, and I need to get a bag packed for her. Most of the time I spend in the tub or in bed, just relaxing and wondering what's going to happen, and when. John said this morning "It's like Christmas coming early!" I tend to agree :)
